After their convincing 6-1 win against Snookin Shooters, Alpha Cueists continued their winning streak to record a second straight victory, edging past Black Panthers 4-3 on the third day of the Bengal Snooker League at the Saturday Club here on Thursday.
In the first frame, the Faisal Khan-led side rode on Pushpender Singh's 63-40 win over Panthers' Rafath Habib. The second frame saw them consolidate their lead with skipper Faisal recording a 78-45 win over Siddharth Parikh.
The tie was sealed by the fourth frame after Faisal and Akram Khan beat Rafath Habib and Abdul Miraz in the doubles by 65-20 followed by Pushpender and Wangchuk Bhutia thrashing Siddharth Parikh and Gerard 58-00.
In other games, Pappu Penguin lost 1-6 to Green Warrior while Shooting Stars beat City Knights 5-2.
