Health insurance company Apollo Munich announced Saturday that it will co-sponsor Indian Super League (ISL) team Atletico de Kolkata.
The firm's logo will appear on the back of the team jersey.
"We are elated to have Apollo Munich as a sponsor. The unique similarity between Apollo Munich and Atletico de Kolkata towards striving for healthy lifestyle makes this a natural alliance," the football club's co-owner and former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly said.
Elaborating on the alliance, Apollo Munich chief executive Antony Jacob said: "We are thrilled to partner with Atletico de Kolkata, the first team to register with ISL.
"Football is all about energy, passion, leadership and transparency and these are qualities that Apollo Munich associate with," he added.
