Indian shooter Apurvi Chandela qualified for the 10-metre air rifle women's finals in grand style, smashing the Commonwealth Games record while compatriot Ayonika Paul too advanced in the same discipline at the Barry Buddon Shooting Centre here Saturday.
Apurvi was in top form garnering 415.6 points, a Commonwealth record, while Ayonika too impressed finishing fourth in qualification with 413.2 points.
The finals of the event will take place later in the day.
India Friday won two medals - Abhinav Bindra (gold), Malaika Goel (silver) - in shooting and Prakash Nanjappa added another silver to India's kitty in the men's 10m air pistol here Saturday.
