Arsenal on Wednesday confirmed that French footballer Abou Diaby has left the English Premier League (EPL) club as a free agent.
The 29-year-old midfielder played only two games in the last two years and has left the club after his contract expired on June 30, reports goal.com.
A statement from Arsenal read: "A hugely talented midfielder, unfortunately his time at the club was interrupted by a number of serious injuries."
Diaby joined Arsenal from AJ Auxerre in January 2006 and made 180 first-team appearances in all competitions.
Japanese winger Ryo Miyaichi was also released earlier this summer but has since joined Germany's second division side St Pauli.
