The 7th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala (IDSFFK), to be held here July 18-22, will see 97 films in the competition section.
These films have been selected from over 600 entries, said the secretary of the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, the organisers for the event, in a release issued here Monday.
The IDSFFK competition is restricted to films produced in India. It has six sections with attractive cash prizes.
Hong Hyosook from Korea, who heads the Busan Documentary Fund along with Susie Tharu and Harsh Mander, will be the jury for the festival.
Filmmakers from all over the country will be attending the event to showcase their work and vie for top honours.
