Serie A club Samdoria on Wednesday signed Luca Cigarini from league rivals Atalanta to strengthen its midfield ahead of the new football season.
The club stated it had acquired the services of Atalanta playmaker Cigarini, without revealing the cost of the deal, reports Efe.
Cigarini, 30, played in the 2010-2011 season on loan at La Liga outfit Sevilla and stayed five seasons in Atalanta, during which he played in 154 games.
This is the fifth signing this summer to Sampdoria's squad, coached by Marco Giampaolo, after Croatian Ante Budimir, Czech Patrick Schick, Swiss Daniel Pavlovic and Italian Jacopo Sala.
