The victory lifted Atletico to 59 points ahead of Corinthians' home clash against Goias on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Figueirense dented Flamengo's hopes of a top-four finish with a 3-0 victory over the Rio de Janeiro outfit in Florianopolis. Clayton scored twice for the hosts and Dudu added another a minute from time.
In other matches on Wednesday, Sport Recife beat Avai 3-0, Joinville defeated Coritiba 3-1 and Ponte Preta won 1-0 at Palmeiras.
