Spanish football club Atletico Madrid has announced that Uruguayan defender Diego Godin will be sidelined over a hamstring injury.
The club did not specify the recovery period on Wednesday, although these kind of injuries usually require about three weeks off, reports Efe.
In the last minutes of the second leg of the Champions League knockout stage against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday at the Vicente Calderon, Godin felt discomfort in the back of the right thigh, so he asked to rest and was replaced by Lucas Hernandez.
Godin will be absent for the La Liga match next Saturday against Sporting Gijon at El Molinon.
