German automaker Audi AG sold 128,650 cars in August, a year-on-year increase of 2.7 percent, marking its best August sales figures ever.
Around 1,177,100 Audi cars have been so far delivered to customers since the start of the year, representing an increase of 3.4 percent compared to the same period of last year, Xinhua quoted the company as saying on Thursday.
"Even in face of highly volatile key markets, Audi further increased its global sales in August. We are preparing to step up the pace with our broad model and technology drive," said Luca de Meo, member of the board of management for sales and marketing.
