Auto-rickshaw aggregator Jugnoo on Thursday announced plans to expand its network to about 1,000 villages in India over the next six months.
There are also plans to partner with the postal and railway departments of India to take connectivity to the grassroots, said a company statement citing Chief Executive Officer Samar Singla.
The company had recently announced its strategy of expanding its auto-rickshaw network to 20,000 villages in 2016-17. The execution of this expansion plan will commence from small towns and rural areas in the southern part of the country.
Jugnoo will not expand its team strength to support its extensive growth plans; rather the implementations will be supervised by the company's city managers for now, the statement said.
