Azerbaijan resumes gas supply to Russia
Azerbaijan's state oil company (Socar) Wednesday resumed gas supplies to Russia, the company's CEO Rovnag Abdullayev announced.
The daily flow of gas from Azerbaijan to Russia is fluctuating from 2-2.5 million cubic meters, Xinhua quoted Abdullayev as saying.
Russia's Gazprom signed a supplying agreement with Socar in October 2009 and first began importing natural gas from Azerbaijan in January 2010. A five-year extension of the deal was signed in 2012.
Azerbaijan halted gas supplies to Russia for technical reasons on the morning of Jan 13.
