Former England star David Beckham is scheduled to attend a charity event here on Sunday to raise funds to help finance Indonesian football training schools for children.
The former Manchester United star will appear in a football clinic event held in Jakarta's football lawn of Soemantri Brodjonegoro, reports Xinhua news agency.
"Beckham's presence would give happiness and inspire Indonesian children to be like him. Indonesian young players would obtain knowledge and skills to play football directly from himself," Indonesia Youths and Sports Minister Imam Nachrawi said.
