Some photographs from the set of the movie have surfaced online. In one of the images, Affleck can be seen sporting a white shirt and a pair of khaki suspender pants which he has teamed with a striped tie in Brunswick, Georgia, reports aceshowbiz.com.
What made his appearance become more vintage were the mahogany brogues. He was also seen wearing a grey blazer while filming some other scenes.
The Oscar-winning actor also shared the first look of the film on Twitter on Wednesday.
He posted a photograph of a monitor which showed him walking hand-in-hand with a young boy with a caption that read: ""First day. First shot. #livebynightmovie".
"Live By Night" is set in 1920s Boston in the prohibition era. The film follows Joe, a man who turned his back on his strict and proper upbringing and becomes an outlaw. He embarks on a dizzying journey up the ladder of organised crime that takes him from the flash of Jazz Age Boston to the sensual shimmer of Tampa's Latin Quarter to the streets of Cuba.
The film is based on Dennis Lehane's acclaimed crime novel of the same name. It also stars Zoe Saldana, Sienna Miller, Elle Fanning and Chris Cooper.
Directed by Affleck, the movie is slated to release in 2017.
