Rio de Janiero, July 23 (IANS/CMC) Brazil international midfielder Bernard is close to signing a deal with English Premier League club Arsenal.
The Gunners and Brazilian outfit Atletico Mineiro have agreed to terms over the 20-year-old, who will fly to London for a medical Thursday, reports Xinhua.
It is understood that Arsenal will pay 20 million pounds for the transfer while accepting Bernard's four million pound-a-year wage demand, O Globo reported.
Bernard has won five international caps for Brazil and was a member of the Selecao's triumphant Confederations Cup campaign last month.
He has also reportedly attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Chelsea.
