A bid to blow up a government school in Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province was foiled by a bomb disposal squad (BDS) which defused explosives planted outside the school Wednesday morning.
Police personnel were informed about the explosives planted outside the Badshah Khan Government Primary School in Bannu district of the province after which rescue personnel were dispatched to the area, Daily times reported citing sources.
Security forces cordoned off the area until the explosives were defused and removed.
Children were allowed to go inside the school once the area was cleared.
Meanwhile, at least three terrorists were killed in clashes with security forces here Wednesday.
According to security sources, the clashes took place in the Jani Khel area of the district, following which security forces cordoned off the area.
