New York City has got its first 24-hour cupcake vending machine which has opened next to a bakery in Manhattan.

Sprinkles Cupcakes launched the cupcake vending machine two years ago and has outlets in Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and Beverly Hills, USA Today reported.

It launched in New York Tuesday.

To get a cupcake from the machine, first select the cupcake, and then a robotic arm grabs a cupcake and puts it into a box.

The cupcakes cost $4.25 each.
