Gurgaon police has arrested a man from Bihar for allegedly demanding Rs 10 lakh from a local businessman, police said on Thursday.
Rupesh Jha was arrested from his village in Bihar's Khagaria district on Wednesday.
Jha had on September 11 demanded extortion money from a local businessman threatening the victim of dire consequences if the amount was not paid.
Police said the accused moved to his native village after making the threat calls.
"We are questioning the accused, who was arrested on the basis of technical evidence," a senior police officer told IANS.
