The BJP on Wednesday announced the schedule for the election of the party's national president, which will pave the way for Amit Shah's return for a full term as the next president.
"The nomination will take place between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on January 24 and the scrutiny will be done on the same day," the party's returning officer and MP Avinash Rai Khanna said in a press release.
"If necessary, the election will be held on January 25," he added.
Shah is completing the remainder of the term of Rajnath Singh, who demitted the post after joining the union cabinet.
According to sources, Shah is all set to get a full term as the party president.
