The BJP Delhi unit on Sunday welcomed President Ram Nath Kovind's approval to disqualify 20 AAP MLAs in the office-of-profit case, saying the decision had contributed to protection of democratic values.
"The Delhi BJP welcomes the decision taken by the President to disqualify the 20 MLAs," Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit President Manoj Tiwari said here.
"With his speedy decision, the President has made a major contribution towards protecting democratic values," the BJP MP from northeast Delhi said.
"The people of Delhi feel that these AAP MLAs must return all financial benefits they have taken after the date on which a circular on their appointment and facilities was issued," Tiwari added.
