A day after a group of men barged into the office of Northwest Delhi's District Magistrate Sanjay Goel, BJP's parliamentarian Udit Raj on Friday demanded an impartial probe into the matter in which his aides allegedly suffered injuries.
The leader has alleged that his personal secretary and supporters were attacked on Thursday when they visited the office of Northwest Delhi's district magistrate in Kanjhawala area.
"The transfer of DM Goel and those involved who attacked BJP workers in their office and collusion of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and station house officer (SHO), Kanjhawala, needs to be probed and accordingly appropriate action should be taken," Udit Raj said in a statement.
Claiming that he had written 11 letters to the district magistrate which were never replied to, Udit Raj said he has written to Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to look into the matter, which he described as a breach of privileges accorded to a parliamentarian.
Raj said he was also surprised that Delhi's Health Minister Satyender Jain visited the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital around 3.30 a.m. on Friday, where the BJP leader's personal secretary Parminder was admitted and the minister pressed doctors to discharge him.
"Things happened according to their scheme, and as a result, Parminder and two other BJP workers have been sent to jail," Raj alleged.
On Friday, Parminder and his two other supporters were produced before a magistrate, who remanded them to one-day judicial custody while rejecting their anticipatory bail applications.
