Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal Saturday said that he had been informed that a top BJP leader had directed his party legislators to get at least 5,000 fake votes in each constituency to win the Delhi assembly election.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has denied the charges.
In a tweet Kejriwal said: "BJP source-top BJP leader has directed all Delhi BJP MLAs to get at least 5000 fake votes made in each const n get AAP votes deleted."
"Bribe rate-Rs. 1500 for new fake vote, Rs. 200 to get any vote deleted. This info given by someone who did this job for BJP last week," the former Delhi chief minister said in another tweet.
"We are meeting EC officials on Mon at 11 am and making a formal complaint," he said in another tweet.
Delhi is under President's rule since February 17.
Meanwhile, Delhi BJP president Satish Upadhyay said that AAP is fast losing its public support and volunteers.
"Kejriwal is making absurd statements in both the social media and news media. By making various baseless allegations against the BJP, Arvind Kejriwal wants that we should take legal action against him so that he may remain in the news glare but...we shall not give him any such opportunity," Upadhyay said in a press statement.
...Kejriwal is levelling false charges against the BJP, and also questioning the impartiality of the Election Commission of India which is respected world over, the statement further said.
