The opposition Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday slammed the Nitish Kumar-led Bihar government for the sharp rise in crimes and its failure to check it.
Leader of opposition Prem Kumar said the Nitish Kumar government has failed to control crime. "Where is the rule of law in Bihar despite repeated claims of Nitish Kumar?" Kumar asked.
He said the crime graph was rising with each passing day. "Chief minister should explain to people where is the rule of law".
Prem Kumar said the law and order situation was deteriorating in the state since the Grand Alliance of Janata Dal-United, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress came to power in Bihar last month.
Quoting media reports, he alleged that cases of murder, extortion, kidnapping and atrocities against women have increased in the state.
