Rescuers on Tuesday discovered the black box of the ATR-42 that crashed at the accident site in Indonesia's Oksibil city, an official said.
"At 13.40 p.m. (local time), black box of Trigana Air's plane was discovered," Xinhua quoted J.A. Barata, spokesman of the transport ministry as saying.
Over 79 rescuers from search and rescue office, soldiers, police and volunteers have been on the crash site, Deputy Operation of National Search and Rescue Office said.
The ATR-42 passenger plane, operated by Trignana Air, lost communication with the control tower at 14.55 (local time) on Sunday and hit Mount Tangok in Bintang district of Papua, according to Barata.
The location of the accident is about 20 km from the airport at Oksibil city.
