At least two Afghan soldiers were killed and two others sustained injuries in a bomb blast in Qarghai district of Laghman province Thursday, spokesperson for provincial government Sarhadi Zwak said.
"A bomb blast targeted a military vehicle in Qarghai district at 9 a m local time Thursday, leaving two soldiers dead and injured two others," Zwak said in a statement released here, Xinhua reported.
Anti-government militants have stepped up activities amid the withdrawal of NATO-led troops from Afghanistan.
The NATO-led forces' combat mission ends by Dec 31 this year and the Afghan national security forces will assume the security charge of their country from Jan 1.
