Teenage midfielder Alexis Mac Allister scored one goal and set up another as Argentinos Juniors upset Superliga Argentina leaders Boca Juniors 2-0 here.
Mac Allister gave the hosts the lead in the 10th minute when he side-footed in a Javier Cabrera cross at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium here on Monday, reports Xinhua news agency.
The 19-year-old then laid off a deft side-rule pass that gave Damian Batallini the easiest of tap-ins just after the hour mark.
It was only the third loss in 18 Superliga matches this season for Boca, who rested a number of key players for the fixture, including former Shanghai Shenhua forward Carlos Tevez.
The Buenos Aires giants still lead the 28-team standings with 43 points, eight points ahead of second-placed Talleres Cordoba. Argentinos Juniors are 13th with 27 points.
In other matches, Independiente won 4-0 at San Martin and Estudiantes secured a 1-0 home victory over Olimpo.
