Boca Juniors will miss their Argentine medio Leandro Paredes for at least two-and-a-half-months due to an injury caused by Agustin Orion during a training session.
The midfielder suffered a complete break of the left ankle deltoid ligament Tuesday, which forced him to face a long recovery expected to last almost three months, reports Xinhua.
On Sunday, Paredes was injured by Orion during a training session in Buenos Aires.
In his Twitter, Orion said he had tried to take the ball out "in an unnecessary and excessive way" and apologized to Paredes.
Paredes, 19, is considered as one of Boca Juniors' promises. He plays the same position as star Juan Roman Riquelme.
