A lovelorn couple allegedly committed suicide in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district. Their bodies were found early on Sunday hanging from a tree in an agricultural field, police said.
Lakhan Patel, 21, of Tinsua village, was having a love affair with a minor girl in his neighbourhood. Both belonged to the same caste, police said.
In a note found at the spot, they wrote that they wished to marry and could not live without each other. But as the society won't allow it, they were taking the extreme step, M.K. Verma of Baheria police station told IANS citing the suicide note.
