The bodies of two engineers who died four weeks ago after going inside a lead and zinc mine in Balochistan have been retrieved by rescue workers.
According to officials, the engineers had gone into the mine in Dudder area of Lasbela district to rescue Pakistani worker Muhammad Anwar who was trapped, Dawn online reported on Thursday.
An official of the MMC Huaye Dudder Mining Company (MHD) said late Wednesday: "Chinese engineers and rescue teams restarted their work and reached the place where the two bodies were stuck," adding that the body of the Pakistani worker had not been found so far.
The two bodies would be shifted to Karachi's Aga Khan Hospital for autopsy.
The engineers' families had already arrived in Karachi, the official added.
