The White House press room was evacuated after a bomb threat phone call that alerted the Metropolitan Police Department, White House spokesperson Josh Earnest said on Tuesday.
The briefing room of the White House was evacuated around 2 p.m. when the daily briefing was still in session. After short period of interruption, the press conference was resumed, Xinhua reported.
