People living close to the Line of Control (LoC) and the international border in Jammu and Kashmir will soon get free set-top boxes (STBs) to improve television connectivity in these remote areas.
An order issued by the state home department in Jammu said STBs will be provided to residents living close to the LoC and the IB in the state.
This decision will apply to residents living in the border areas of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Poonch, Rajouri, Baramulla and Kupwara districts of the state.
Preference will be given to those who fall in the below poverty line income group, the order said.
