Brazil's Botafogo have signed twins Alex and Anderson from Dutch top-flight side SBV Vitesse.
The 22-year-old pair will reinforce Botafogo's defence as they prepare for their first Copa Libertadores -- South America's top club competition, reports Xinhua.
Alex and Anderson joined Vitesse in 2011 after a contractual row with their former club Flamengo.
"That happens. We didn't reach a deal and we left," Anderson said during a press conference.
"I was raised at Flamengo and I still have friends there. There are no hard feelings but now I want to create history with Botafogo."
Anderson plays at left-back while his brother plays on the right. Despite their limited first-team opportunities at Vitesse, Alex said both players had benefited from playing in Europe.
