Twenty20 cricket may be regarded as a batsmen's game, but Chennai Super Kings pacer Ashish Nehra believes it is the bowlers who win matches in the format.
"It is a batsman's game, but I still believe bowlers are the ones who win you matches," Nehra said after bagging the man of the match award for his good performance (4-0-23-3) against Mumbai Indians in an Indian Premier League match at the Wankhede stadium here on Friday.
Nehra said it was important to keep to a good line and length upfront.
"T20 is a format where you don't get wickets when you are bowling well. It's important to pick wickets with the new ball.
"You have to be aggressive if you want to pick wickets. If you bowl a good line and length up front, you set the tone. I just try to do the things which I am good at," said Nehra.
Chennai Super Kings won the match by six wickets.
