Local talent Brijesh Damanj (PSPB) finally succeeded in capturing one of the RKG Pro Snooker Series -Trophy as he beat state-mate and practice partner Sourav Kothari 6 frames to 2 in the final at the Bengal Rowing Club on Friday.
Brijesh displayed his good run of form as he started with a frame win. Though Sourav countered and won the next, he was pushed back on the third as Brijesh clinched it 3-1.
However, Sourav got back one more frame, the last one as Brijesh once again climbed back to the driver's seat and kept winning frame over frame to get closer to the victory. He in fact scored three breaks in last three frames to settle the score and win the title.
The caravan will now move to Mumbai for Grand Finale where top 32 will contest for double prize money.
