Britannia Industries Ltd posted Rs.98 crore for the second quarter (July-September) of this fiscal (2013-14), registering a whopping 66 percent growth year-on-year (YoY) from Rs.59 crore in same period a year ago.
"Total income from operations, including net sales, however, grew 13 percent YoY to Rs.1,756 crore during the quarter under review (Q2) from Rs.1,559 crore in like period a year ago," the company said in a statement here Monday.
Profit before tax at Rs.143 crore zoomed 83 percent YoY from Rs.78 crore a year ago.
Earnings per share of Rs.2 each increased to Rs.8.15 from Rs.4.93.
