Actor-filmmaker Bryan Singer discussed a possibility of bringing Deadpool into a future "X-Men" movie.

Singer revealed it's not a simple equation to connect the two franchises, reports variety.com.

"If you take a character as irreverent and meta as Deadpool and connect him to something as grounded and serious as 'X-Men', you have to do it carefully and gently," Singer said.

"When you drop them all in together it can be a disaster. That has to be done delicately, but there's plenty of room to do it," he added.

One of the ways to bring Deadpool into the "X-Men" universe could be through an "X-Force" movie, the paramilitary superhero spin-off group that Deadpool has called home over the years.

Singer had brought the title up to his Fox bosses and Ryan Reynolds previously revealed a project centering on the group is a priority.

He is bringing "X-Men" franchises to TV with series like "Hellfire" and "Legion". Singer serves as executive producer for both shows.

"I think the underbelly (could be explored). There is always something interesting about a school that has got a military aspect beneath its classrooms. Is there another layer to all of that? Is there another layer to the Hellfire Club? The idea of, 'Who's running the world?'" he added.
