Actress Amanda Bynes was recently shifted from the psychiatric ward at UCLA Medical Centre to The Canyon, a rehab centre in Malibu. Her parents have said that she needed the shift.
The actress' parents, Rick and Lynn Bynes, said that the move was for the best as UCLA Medical centre had done all that it could for Amanda, reports tmz.com.
Speaking through their lawyer, Tamar Arminak, the actress' parents said that she was moved at the advise of her doctors and has been making "great strides towards recovery".
Bynes was undergoing psychiatric treatment at the UCLA Medical Center.
