The union cabinet Friday approved the revocation of President's Rule in the national capital, paving the way for the Aam Aadmi Party government headed by Arvind Kejriwal to take power.

Sources said that the cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, recommended immediate revocation of the President's Rule.

AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal will be sworn in chief minister Saturday, exactly a year after he resigned after 49 days in office.

The AAP swept the Feb 7 Delhi elections getting 67 of the 70 seats.
