Defender Ambroise Oyongo scored a late goal to help Cameroon draw 1-1 with Mali at an African Cup of Nations (Afcon) football tournament match.
Midfielder Sambou Yatabare had given Mali the lead in the 71st minute, controlling the ball with his chest and scoring from a tight angle from a free-kick on the other side of the field Tuesday, reports Xinhua.
Oyongo netted the equaliser in the 84th minute, beating Mali goalkeeper Soumaila Diakite from close range after receiving a long pass.
Cameroon conceded only one goal in qualifying and came into the match as one of the favourite teams of the tournament.
Cameroon next play hosts Equatorial Guinea Saturday.
