German football club VfB Stuttgart has announced that interim coach Juergen Kramny has been promoted to head coach until June 2017.
Stuttgart's second team coach Kramny took the reins at the end of November after former coach Alexander Zorniger was sacked due to poor performances with only 10 points from 13 Bundesliga games. Kramny's elevation was declared on Sunday, reports Xinhua.
Under the guidance of Kramny, Stuttgart earned one win and two draws from three games to lift the "VfB" out of the relegation zone. As a result, the club management rewarded Kramny with a head coach contract until June 2017.
Stuttgart sit currently on the 15th place of the Bundesliga standings and in touching distance to the relegation zone.
