Actresses Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara-starrer "Carol" will hit the Indian screens next month.
Directed by Todd Haynes, the film, which is adapted from "The Price of Salt" - a Patricia Highsmith novel, will arrive in India on February 26, read a statement.
"Carol" is a depiction of love against the odds and explores how individuals and their relationships with one another can transform over time.
Mara will be seen portraying Therese Belivet, a young woman in her 20s. She is a clerk working in a Manhattan department store and dreams of a more fulfilling life alongside Blanchett, who stars as the co-lead playing an alluring woman named Carol, trapped in a loveless and convenient marriage.
The cast also includes Kyle Chandler, Sarah Paulson, Jake Lacy, Cory Michael Smith, Carrie Brownstein and John Magaro.
