CBI probing 82 corruption cases in military
The CBI has registered 82 cases of alleged corruption and irregularities in the defence sector between January 2011 and June 2014, parliament was informed Friday.
Defence Minister Arun Jaitley said in a written statement that another 24 preliminary inquiries were also conducted during this period.
Of the total 106 cases, seven had been closed, he said. "The remaining cases are in various tages of inquiry, investigation and trial."
