Certain government offices located in central Delhi area will remain closed from Wednesday afternoon till 10.30 a.m. Thursday in order to prepare for the Swacch Bharat mission to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The offices, which include those in Krishi Bhawan, Shastri Bhawan, Yojana Bhawan as well as South Block and North Block, will remain closed from 1400 hours Wednesday to 10.30 hours Thursday (Oct 2), an official release said here.
Certain other offices like those located in Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House would remain closed from 2200 hours Wednesday to 1030 hours Thursday.
Modi will launch the "Swachh Bharat Mission", a campaign to clean India, Thursday to coincide with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The mission aims to achieve a completely clean India by Oct 2, 2019, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of father of the nation.
