Central varsity gets defence land

The Cabinet Tuesday approved transferring 300 acres of defence land at an abandoned airfield at Panchanpur in Gaya to the human resource development ministry for setting up a central university, a statement said.

According to the statement, the transfer will enable the development of a central university in Bihar which will serve the national cause for quality higher education, research and training in unserved and under-served areas.
