In Punjab, the Sikh holy city of Amritsar experienced a colder day with the maximum temperature of 14.7 degrees. The minimum temperature here was 11.2 degrees.
Ludhiana and Patiala cities recorded highs of 17.7 and 21.5 degrees.
The maximum temperature in Chandigarh was 22 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 10.9.
The Met department has predicted rainfall over the region in the next 72 hours. In Haryana, Hisar and Bhiwani towns recorded highs of 23.9 and 23.6 degrees respectively.
