Chandigarh and its surrounding areas have been lashed by continuous rain since Friday evening, leading to a dip in the maximum temperature.
Some areas in Chandigarh were hit by a hailstorm on Friday night.
The minimum temperature recorded in the last 24 hours was 10.3 degrees, five degrees above normal.
The union territory received over 75 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
Karnal in Haryana also recorded a maximum temperature of 12.6 degrees.

In neighbouring Punjab, Patiala and Ludhiana recorded highs of 14.6 and 15.8 degrees respectively.
Met department officials said the rain would continue on Sunday also.
They said that the chill factor could increase in the next week.
