English football club Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Vitesse Arnhem midfielder Marco van Ginkel.
Netherlands Under-21 international Ginkel, 20, who has won one cap for the senior national squad, now needs to pass a medical to become Jose Mourinho's second signing after Andre Schurrie.
"Chelsea Football Club and Vitesse Arnhem have reached an agreement for the transfer of Marco van Ginkel. The player will join Chelsea subject to a medical, agreement of personal terms and legal documentation," read a statement on the Chelsea website.
Van Ginkel joined Vitesse at age seven in 1999 and came through the youth ranks before making his debut in 2010.
