The principal of a private school was arrested here for running over a three-year-old child, police said Friday.
The incident was reported Thursday morning from Nand Nagri in east Delhi.
Varun, who was playing outside his home, was crushed to death by the car being driven by the accused Jai Prakash who is a principal of a private school.
"The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead," said a police official.
Prakash told police that the boy came under the rear wheels of his car when he was reversing it.
We are inquiring if it was the fault of the principal or the child suddenly came under his car, said police.
