Chinese shuttlers Chai Biao and Hong Wei beat Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen from Denmark in the semi-final of the men's doubles competition in the Dubai World Superseries Finals here on Saturday.
In the three-set match, Chai and Hong won 17-21, 21-19, 24-22 in one hour and 19 minutes, reports Xinhua.
"We also feel that we were eventually tactically the better team," said Hong.
Chai and Hong will encounter on Sunday the Indonesian pair of Mohamed Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan who defeated South Korea's Lee Yong Dae and Yoo Yeon Seong 21-17 22-24 21-15.
The Indonesians were also propelled by the hundreds of audible Indonesian fans who gathered at the Hamdan Sports Complex.
On their chances of victory on Sunday, Hong answered diplomatically: "Dubai is a lucky place to be and we feel lucky."
