Acclaimed Chinese film veteran Xie Fei will chair the jury at the 19th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), the organisers said Wednesday.
The film festival will begin here Dec 12 and conclude Dec 19.
The others in the five-member jury are Lawrence Kardish, the chief curator at the Museum of Moving Arts (MOMA), critic and curator Klaus Eder, Turkish filmmaker Reis Celik and Indian member Sumitra Bhave.
Xie Fei graduated in 1961 from the Beijing Film Academy and went on to become a professor, dean and then vice president of the academy.
He has won the Golden Bear for his "The Women from the Lake of Scented Souls" (1993) and the Silver Bear Award for "Black Snow" (1989) at the Berlin film festival.
