China's top legislature will strengthen supervision over government budgets and final accounts, according to its annual work report that released on Wednesday.
"We will carefully hear and deliberate reports from the State Council on the central government's final accounts for 2015," the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee said in the report.
The report will soon be delivered by its Chairman Zhang Dejiang, Xinhua news agency reported.
The auditing of the performance of the central government budgets and other items of revenue and expenditure in 2015, as well as the implementation of 2015 government budgets, will be carefully heard and deliberated, the report said.
The NPC Standing Committee will conduct surveys on the implementation of its decisions on strengthening oversight over economic work and intensifying inspection of the central government budgets, it added.
